Department of Physiology and Pharmacology, Pasteur Institute of Iran was established in 1996 by Dr. Nasser Naghdi, Professor of Neurophysiology.

Approaches

Conducting basic and applied research in the field of Pharmacology and Neuropharmacology

Design and evaluation of prophylactic strategies and treatments to control neurologic and non-neurologic diseases using animal and cellular models

Discovering and design of new drug molecules from natural and synthetic sources

Studying mechanisms of pharmacoresistance and strategies to overcome, in animal and cellular models

Training MSc and PhD candidates in the field of Physiology, Pharmacology, Pharmacy, and related courses by conducting workshops and dissertations.
